I don’t know much about Brandon Maxwell but seeing a picture of model Riley Montana in one of the closing looks (a phenomenal Swarovski crystal disco suit featuring a wide leg trouser paired with a cleavage baring, nipped jacket) on Instagram, I was immediately hooked.
After a little research I learnt that the luxury, ready-to-wear label was launched in 2015 to ‘make women feel beautiful, sophisticated and powerful with timeless garments that are impeccably tailored’. This statement is unbelievably true. The models owned the catwalk in their fiercely sexy garments, with dark eye make up highlighting their dominant stares.
The colours were dark and mysterious, ranging from a deep burgundy to a dark, ‘envy’ green and complimented with equally luxury fabrics of leather, fur and diamonds.
For me, this brand summarises a modern girl’s fantasy wardrobe – luxury gothic glamour. Let’s hope this dream continues into next season.
